10 Minutes of Terror Short Film Competition and Festival

The McGraw Page Library invites you to enter our “10 Minutes of Terror” film competition. Students will have the opportunity to create and star in their own horror film for a chance to win a $50 Check. Your films must be 1-10 minutes in length and follow PG-13 guidelines  (See this site for more details on what this entails). Film entries must be submitted to the circulation desk in a physical format (preferably on a USB) by November 19th at 11:59 pm (before the library closes). The films will be presented in the SunTrust theatre on November the 28th.

I need help writing a script, who can help me?
The tutors in the Communication Center are there to help you, you can make an appointment (https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=13722460) or just walk in (Mon-Thu 3-10pm & Sunday 6-10pm).
I don’t have film equipment, where do I get it?
Did you know that you can rent equipment from the library? We have video cameras, microphones, tripods, a drawing tablet, and more. Want to film on your phone? We have a tripod for that!
I don’t have any editing software, where can I go?
The Library Makerspace and the Butler Pavillion has programs for; audio production, graphic design, and video production. Come on in! (Mon-Thu 10-4, 8:30-10:30 & Fri 10-4).
I don’t know how to use the equipment or editing software, what can I do?
